Par Alta Drive

Retirement home for a couple relocating from Oklahoma to the mountains of New Mexico. The house is a three bedroom, two bath energy efficient house with an eye to smaller bedrooms to encourage interaction in the communal spaces. The house is a traditional wood frame house building on an insulated concrete form foundation. Care was taken to orient the house to allow sun light to penetrate into the house during winter to capture heat. During the winter the house was heated with a single wood burning stove.
