Nokia North American Headquarters: Construction Management, White Plains, NY

When Nokia established its North American corporate presence in Westchester County, the scope of the undertaking was considerable. Smith Holt managed the full construction of a new 100,000 square foot, four-story steel and concrete office building in White Plains, overseeing the removal of the existing structure, asbestos abatement, contract bidding, and the coordination of design, construction, and relocation teams throughout. The firm served as Nokia’s construction representative on the ground, managing remotely with on-site travel as needed across a $45 million buildout. It was one chapter in a longer relationship that took the Austin-based firm across North America and into Finland.
